Physiotherapy, also known as physical therapy, is a healthcare profession that involves the use of physical techniques and exercises to help improve the function, mobility, and quality of life of individuals who are affected by injury, illness, or disability.

Physiotherapists work with patients of all ages and with a wide range of conditions, from musculoskeletal injuries to neurological disorders, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions, and chronic pain. They use a combination of manual therapy, exercise therapy, and other modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and acupuncture to help patients achieve their physical goals.

The ultimate goal of physiotherapy is to help patients achieve optimal physical function, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Physiotherapists also play a critical role in preventing injuries and promoting health and wellness through education and preventative strategies.
